Many Hats!

Hi, I'm Sr. Julian. Welcome to our Priory Blog. Glad you're stopping by....

Before coming to the monastery, as an attorney I helped folks get Social Security disability benefits, and I'm interested in immigration law and have some experience in that. I was also a nurse practitioner, so have some medical knowledge which can be helpful to our community,

Now, I keep up with repairs in the monastery, play the organ, do a little cooking, help on the health care team, a little gardening, sometimes reception work, dishes and other odds and ends.

My favorite part of monastic life is coming together with my community to pray. We do this several times a day. This Benedictine Liturgy of the Hours is the heart of my life.

We bless two new members at Evening Praise

This is a delightful insight to life in a monastic community. There is unity, praise and purpose - using all of your gifts and talents to enrich everyone's life! Thank you for sharing, Sr. Julian.
