Aging with Agility ...by Sr. Julian

                  Image: Freepik. comWhen I think of the word ‘agility,’ I think about moving easily and quickly or being flexible in your body.  I see older folks around me that seem to have this agility ability. As I near the end of my sexagenarian years, I feel less spry. Does this mean I lack any agility at all? No! Perhaps I am just less nimble or dexterous. The other day I was sewing a button onto a blouse.

Doings ...by Sr. Monika

  What do I do all day? Part of my time is spent on practicing strokes and drawing images based on the Zentangle method. I am teaching a series of 9 classes, Tuesdays at 1:00 through August. Students have given me some lovely responses to these classes.

We're breaking temperature records this week in Washington State--it must be our turn. We've heard of the heat waves in other parts of the country and up until the past few years have been a little smug about our moderate weather here in the Pacific Northwest. Things seem to be changing.

The Garden Is Coming - Part 2

One full month just passed, and a lot of things are changing in the garden. The tomatoes, peppers, carrots, corn, lettuce, peas, radishes, potatoes—everything is growing. I am amazed at the miracle of life. I feel like a little child observing in wonder the project the teacher instructed us to do. “Ask your mom for a glass container, add a wet cotton ball.
